Your biggest nightmare OS would be to be hospitalised. It can cost thousands! And some countries won't let you leave until your medical bills are paid! Some companies will pay your bills for you. Others reimburse you when you return home! Meanwhile you've had to take out a second mortgage to pay the hospital bills. This actually happened to someone!
Some companies will evacuate you if possible because your own country's health care will cover you at home, thus saving them this huge expense.
Find out how supportive your insurer will be in the case of an emergency and how promptly they settle claims. There's more to it than a cheaper premium.
