After what you've written about the Mandarin, we(wife and self) feel it was a pity we missed out.
We would probably have had one large soup (crab meat with asparagus)between the two of us, two main courses(pork or beef and duck), steamed rice with prawns, Chinese tea and date pancakes for dessert.
Sounds good ?? ;-) Yes, I would happily pay 200/300K Rp for a gourmet meal, like that.
Thanks again, Rene. Hope you have a great time in Bali and enjoy the frogs legs at the Mandarin. Two Chinese specialities that are absolutely divine are the twice cooked pork belly and the Cantonese roast chicken. Check with the Mandarin whether they make them.
