Go there and don't worry about the night life.
Get up early - 5 - 5.30am - and go for a walk to watch the sun rise and the boats come in.
Snorkle the many coral reefs in the area.
Take one of the small roads and walk into the hills.
Look at the people and where they live.
Apart from the beauty, this is one of the poorest areas in Bali. If you want to make a donation for the Rotary humanitarian projects in the area it can be safely left at Bayu Cottages in Lipa, which is also a great place to stay.
