We stayed there for a week last year. We booked the two Arjuna rooms.
As far as AC goes - we didn't find it a problem at all. Most nights we left the window shutters open and let the breeze come in. It was actually chilly in the mornings, with my kis putting on a light jacket whilst we had breakfast.
However HMGH are building 4 new AC rooms which will be priced slightly more than the Laxmi rooms. My last correspondance with MGH said that the rooms should be ready in may/june. I don't think they're taking bookins for them at this stage though.
I would suggest you take a cot mosquito cover though. As the one that was supplied dind't quite fit the cot and our baby got very badly bitten.
