Our daughter loves her rice like this & once Dh came close to making it in our rice cooker in OZ, he put in more wter than was really required & basically over cooked it until it was a thick glue consistency... It was not good!
I think you will be able to get a recipe from net & I think I saw some sugar syrup in a bottle at Laguna the Indo supermarket in Melbourne!
Perhaps ask at Asian grocers if you cannot get a recipe!
