Ok..it seems like a great purchase when you see all the dvds lined up in pretty much any video shop...but seriously...Most if not all the dvd's for sale, and of recent release in the theaters, are what happens when sneaky people go in with cameras and shoot the screen...then upload it to the web, and in turn - pirate houses in Indonesia, Thailand etc..crank out what looks like the real deal. I bought a bunch years ago, and they had very impressive cover art, but the results were really bad. Unless there's no way for you to see it anywhere else, it's a waste of money. In some of the films I got, people would stand up right in the middle of the screen w/popcorn in hand!! or the audio was completely useless or the camera would get wacked right in an important scene....whatever. I hate to be a hollywood promoter...(hey wait a second...I live in Hollywood!!) But..the effort and time to actually press a high quality dvd is worth waiting for the real deal.
