Day Trips

Hi everyone,

I'm going over to Bali at the end of May and staying in the Kuta area. I was thinking of doing a couple of Day Trips into Central Bali visiting places such as Ubud and Elephant Safari Park. I would also like to see some temples and Balinese dancing.This will be my first trip to Bali and I would like some information as to the best way to do this. Would it be better to go on a tour or just hire a driver and go on my own? Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, can someone tell me the approximate times and distances to these places.
