We have stayed at Puri in the Club Rooms and albeit it was nice it didn't really warrant the extra money. It might have said a members only pool but it wasn't monitored and so we had others using it and it was hardly ever in full sun due to overhanging trees. What I did love about Puri was the lounge chairs right out front overlooking the beach, didn't matter how hot it got there was always a breeze. We went in Oct 2003 and have just come back again (over Christmas/New Year) this time staying at Hotel Sanur Beach. We would stay again at Puri but not sure about club rooms. The breakfast was continental not american and yes Donalds is excellent. Mezzanine at Christmas we found a little disappointing and had to return food when we've never had to do before. All in all Puri is a lovely friendly, clean hotel and you won't regret staying thre whatever room you choose. By the way we were on the ground floor so it was warmer.
