accomodation around island

I'm taking my Wife and 3 children to Bali in May for 3 weeks. We have the first week of accomodation booked at Green Garden Hotel but no accomodation for next 2 weeks, we want to travel around the island. Do you guys recommend to book before we go or should we be right getting it as we go around ? ANY input we be greatly appreciated
