For another, its not as if the prepaid taxi is just waiting for you.
You've gotta go up to the counter, wait in line, pay the money, get the receipt, then wait for the cab driver to be called, go to the parking lot with him(carting your luggage, btw) and then get in the cab. This process took me a good 20 minutes. Had I been travelling light, like presumably Nellie was, it would have been faster for me to catch a cab from the road and head off. And, cheaper as well.
