Our 2 friends ate there at lunch time but we didn't know until the next day.We ate a late dinner,as I said before he has seafood & I had mixed sates.
Thankfully our young bloke had already eaten an early dinner at the Rambutan that night as he often did.Strangely he did eat not anything when we were in Bali Kopi because he was too busy on MSN at the internet cafe 2 doors down .He was too busy talking to his sister & his mates.Not sure if you'd had a teenage son but they can easily eat 2 > 3 x what an average adult would in 1 sitting - but this night he didn't & wasn't hungry (Thank God- or he probably also would have got sick) & it was hard enough with myself & my hubby being so crook,let alone trying to cope with a sick child - oops forgot I am NOT permitted to call him a child anymore <LOL>
Anyway - thanks for the ideas BUT there was NO shared salad or shared anything,NO water,no ice cubes - only bottled Bintang poured into a glass.that did look clean but who is to know ? I reckon the most likely thing is one of the staff members was crook that day or the food handling area wasn't up to scratch re the dishes or the food. Something sure was wrong,it is too much of a coincidence re 4 people getting sick on the same day with 4 different meals from the same place.
We have eaten at this place many times before & our 2 friends who got sick are actually locals who regularly eat there.I still say it is the luck of the draw - sometimes you win ,sometimes you lose.I have probably eaten at what some people would consider the dodgiest looking places out & been perfectly fine - YET in a place that looked very well presented & clean I got damn crook.
