that a really friendly smile,a bit of a chat about how much you love Bali & a small gift (naturally NOT a bribe) of a small stuffed koala or Aussie type souvenir just happens to distract them enough NOT to check /worry about any excess luggage.I also find having kids with you also helps - especially IF they happen to be tired & cranky & what kids aren't when they are at the airport at almost mid-night.NO I will NOT encourage pinching your kids to make them cranky as was mentioned here a few years ago <LOL>
Although I still think it's the luck of the draw.One of these days I am sure we will ALL start getting hit for excess.It can't go on forever.
