2 weeks in Bali/Ubud

I am heading off to Bali for the last two weeks in March. I had hoped to go straight to the Honeymoon Guesthouse in Ubud and spend a couple of days doing cooking classes at Casa Luna ... however it seems I have left my run too late as they are booked out.

Could anyone suggest any nice guesthouses to stay in in Ubud - I am travelling solo (am 30 yrs old) so would like somewhere with a relaxed atmosphere where I can have a chat to locals and other travellers from time to time.

Also - I would really welcome any suggested itinerary for a 2 week stay. I am keen to steer clear of Kuta/Legian etc - would prefer more scenery/culture and good food.
