IF you have just arrived & wish to explain the lack of tan - you could say you have been up in the mountains,mostly staying in your room for a week because you or the kids have been sick (or on your honeymoon or 2nd honeymoon) or that you usually cover up your skin because you burn easily.
The alternative is to use fake tan before you leave <LOL>
