there (admittedly, we didn't really ask around much), were 50% off at Waterbom Park; double rooms including breakfast at the Sari Segara Resort in Jimbaran Bay for AU$38/night; AU$55/night at Resor Seminyak inc b'fast and US$39/night at the Conrad in Tanjung Benoa (absolutely beautiful!). Apparently the Mercure in Kuta also gives a substantial discount. Have fun! Cheers, Sue.
