Have just returned today having spent the past 14 days at Bali Ayu in Seminyak. Yes what you have heard is correct, as far as Seminyak goes, we walked from there to Legian and were shocked to see how littered with rubbish the beach was, even picked up two brocken bottles. The exception of some of the better resorts having groomed outside their beach front. Appalled to see children swimming in what appeared to be sewage. Next time we go will shall be looking at Sanur. Great beach hawkers not so bad. Later on I will post at indepth JBR. If you want more info sooner e-mail me.
