I disagree. I enjoy Kuta, but I think most people looking for a more traditional balinese holiday will find Kuta extremely tacky and not worth the hassle. Just like Surfers Paradise in Australia. Or Ibiza or Mallorca in Spain. If you're out to experience the culture and the way people really live, you have to venture into some of the more remote areas. Not stick to Surfers Paradise, Mallorca or Kuta.
