Some people stay for months or years in Bali finding new things to do. I love Bali and have only been there twice. But I am finding that there are not too many NEW places for me to go and explore readily. I want to do the east coast extensively and a bit of the north coast and the west... But I have done the centre and south parts to an extent I am happy with.

I think 3 weeks in Bali is plenty. Of course more time on any holiday is worthwhile and you can never see everything, but I think you will be pleased with what you experience in 3 weeks. I'm starting to plan trips to the other islands around Bali to explore them a little more now so that it keeps everything new and fresh. Bali for me really is fantastic. But I just don't want it to be too familiar!

It certainly is nowhere near as diverse as the USA in terms of geography. It's a small island with a few million people. If you plan to see a lot of Bali in 3 weeks, I think you can achieve it. Definitely.
