We arrived back home a few weeks ago now. This trip it was just myself and husband.

We stayed at the Inna Kuta in one of the bungalows. The accommodation was "tired" and you would certainly not accept this type of hotel back home in Australia BUT we didn't pick this hotel for the accommodation. We knew the quality before we went. It was its location that we were after and we were not dissappointed in the location at all. It was sensational. We could see the beach from our verandah and we were 20 metres (if that) from sand beneath our toes.

We had a great time. Did heaps of shopping - the usual t-shirts, watches, DVD's etc. This time we also did some furniture shopping. We are about 4 weeks away from it arriving so I don't know the final costs yet but to purchase it in Bali was really cheap. In total we spent $1300. From that $1300 we bought an eight seater hand carved wooden table with glass top, two rattan dining chairs, 4 large buddha statues, a huge water feature and about 4 - 5 boxes of goodies from Geneva.

This was our first time shopping at Geneva. It is sensational. Cheap cheap cheap and really good decorative stuff. An example it I bought two large mirrors which have a border around them of rattan. Absolutely gorgeous. They were about $20 each.

We have just booked our next trip in December. This time we are taking the kids. We have three boys. Their ages on the trip will be 14, 11 and 18 months. We are also taking the mother in law as the nanny.

I would love some advice on where to stay. Either the Legian, Seminyak or Kuta area. I think I am looking for interconnecting rooms. Putting the two older boys with the MIL and the baby with us. Close to the beach, if not on the beach and reasonably priced.

Also any suggestions for travelling with the 18 month old. I.E. What time of food from home can I take?

Thanks to all for reading and thanks in advance for suggestions about accommodation.

Julie
