My honest opinion. The hotel is very tired. No renovation work has been done there for a long time (even though signs are up apologising for work being done). There are some tiles missing in the pool and one of the other guests there said that the tiles were missing from last year.

The reception staff are fantastic. Very helpful and friendly.

We stayed in a bungalow and felt very very secure. You cannot beat the location. Absolutely fantastic.

The room itself was more than suitable. Tired yes, but also clean. It definiately was not the flashiest of hotels. It is one of the oldest hotels in Kuta (I believe)

A couple of examples of my complaints

1. We ordered room service for lunch. Our plates from room service were not picked up until well over 24 hours late. This happened all the time. Housekeeping did not take them. You had to wait until you ordered room service again to get the dirty plates taken away.

2. I asked one of the boys who hand out the towels to help me put the umberella up as it was really hot. He didn't help. It wasn't his job. That attitude I have never come across before in Bali.

I would probably stay there again. Not with the children. There is no shade in the pool at all.

Hope this helps. I have probably painted a bad picture. It is really okay. Location is excellent. All depends of what you are after.

Julie
