Restaurants are a definite no-bargain zone, except for a few in Jimbaran Bay (so I've heard) - a relief really, because you get really sick of the constant haggling over prices.

Anything that doesn't have a price tag is fair game.

Water sports - DO NOT PAY THE PRINTED PRICE. They will show you a price list of stuff you can do in US$ prices. Just tell them you are not Japanese and will not pay the prices. Things are pretty quiet for them at the moment (just got back) so they will not risk losing your business if your price is fair. The best advice I can give is have an idea in your head how much you are willing to pay for something and let that be your guide. For us, 2 adults and 2 kids, we paid AUD$15 each for an hour of snorkelling at Nusa Dua. Published price was US$25 per person. We probably still got ripped off, but I figure that $15 was a great price to pay compared to what you pay in Cairns, for instance...
