If you've actually read that story, why do you still think the proposed law has already been passed?

I know the Herald Scum interpreted it and reported it creatively, as if a kissing ban has been inplace for years, and all that has happened is an increase in the penalties... but the Jakarta Post article clearly tells you what the actual story is.

The no-kissing law does NOT exist. A proposal for it does. That's all. Some right-wing lobby group wants it to happen. It won't.

The same thing happens in Australia... for better or worse. The Greens or Democrats will propose giving free herion to addicts via prescription. If headlines in Holland said "Australia gives free Heroin to addicts", then this is not accurate.

Sometimes a bill has many articles. Like the draft of Australia's new anti-terrorism laws originally allowed for ten-year-old kids to be cavity searched at airports. Fortunately, not everyone in the senate is an insane paranoid pervert, so that part of the bill was removed.

Please. Trust me. This law does not exist in Indonesia, and it never will (except maybe in Aceh, where they do follow sharia law -- but again... that ONLY affects Muslims). And if it does get passed, I'm going to give SBY a big sloppy toungue kiss in front of everyone.

Do you really think Indonesians would stand for all the kissing to be removed from Hollywood romances? They live on that crap.
