Hi Prema, There are lots of references to tailors on the Forum, just do a search and you'll see a few get lots of compliments. This post from Filo might be useful for you:

In Jl Wana Segara, not far from the roundabout where it joins Jl Kartika Plaza, you will find Yoyan at ENI Tailors. We have used him for many years and found his work to be reliably good for both male and female apparel.
To be confident of any tailor in Bali try them first with a simple piece but don't say you might order more. When its finished inspect it closely and if you approve of the fit and quality then order more with confidence.
If you want a cheap job then say so (and judge the results on this basis) but be more specific if you want and are prepared to pay for good materials and workmanship. " (Thanks Filo - hope you don't mind my quoting this)

I know I've seen other posts referring to men's clothes, but can't find them just now. Do a trawl if you have the time, I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Another tip is to take a few things that your husband particularly likes and which fit well and have them copied in fabric of your choice. Depending on what he would like, you might want to either take some fabric from home or have a look at the fabric shops in Denpassar. If you select one or two tailors from the BTF referrals, I'm sure the posters would also be able to give you an idea of the fabric selections available at their favoured tailor. Most people are only too pleased to be able to help and refer business to good suppliers.

Filo's advice about allowing for a couple of fittings is excellent. I wonder whether one of the issues where people are unhappy with their tailor's results in Asia, could be that perhaps they haven't had too much experience with having things made at home and don't insist on interim fittings before the final sewing is done.

Good luck, happy travelling and remember - the difference between a big man and a very small person isn't limited to body size.
