Arrived back a fortnight ago,stayed at GVC.
Things remain unchanged with the exception that the long awaited renovations are underway.
The two last cottages on the right (comprising 8 rooms had been gutted. One of the rooms was almost complete when we left but they were having problems with the plumbing which delayed completion.
The bathrooms are being extended, the hand basin, presently in the main room is being relocated to the bathroom (new hand basin)and televisions are to be installed.
The makeover is complete, new roof, ceiling, tiles, etc and obviously new furniture.
Apparently the long term plan is to do all cottages as well as a new office and restaurant. Since we were there in March they have also gutted the old pool room and this is now a spa, massage and beauty salon. Everybody who had a massage commented on how good (and reasonably priced) it was. A proper massage as oppsed to a rub down by Wayan, Paula etc by the pool or on the beach.
Rudy plans to have a two tier pricing system until it is complete. That is, standard room and deluxe room.
