Returned after our week in Bali last Friday and now back to the real world very sad!! We all loved Bali. The Dynasty was fabulous!! We had a kids suite and if you are travelling with young children these rooms are great. The people at the Dynasty are lovely and the guys around the pool (Froggy etc) must have one of the best jobs in Bali. We travelled Air Paradise and couldn't fault them. Flights on time and they fed us all the way there and all the way home. Bit cramped in the 3 and 3 seating but it is only a short flight from Perth so who cares!! Had breakfast at Daddys Cafe every morning - it was great. The guy who works there don't know his name is the spitting image of Donny Osmond. Had dinner at Koris- fantastic, Poppies - amazing an oasis in Poppies Lane. Pantai - very nice watched all the planes landing and strolled along the beach. Bubba Gumps - had a nice lunch..the staff amused the kids with the fish catching outside and they made a huge fuss of Miss 5 as she had just had her birthday the day before and they sang happy birthday and made her an icecream sundae. Had lunch at Jimbaran Bay - best meal in Bali for us. Absolutely beautiful!! Wanted to go to Seminyak for dinner and have a look see but didn't get there. More about that later. I am usually a wino but it was too hot in Bali for wine so I discovered Bintang and tried very hard to drink the island dry. AAHH - a cold bintang!! Now I know what you were all going on about. Geneva - what can I say. Amazing.I wasn't quite prepared for the size of the place. Managed to fill a couple of trolleys but sadly lost two of the cane baskets at customs because they had borers. It was a set of 3 stacked together and I didn't check them properly so my own fault. Did a lot of shopping at Diannes shop (thanks to the forum for that hint) didn't actually get to meet Dianne because she had her little boy the first day I went there but the other girl Petu (not sure how to spell it) was lovely. The only problem we had in Bali was that it was Ramadan and there were heaps of extra people in Bali because of it. The traffic was horrendous and we ended up walking just about everywhere because the taxis just could not get thru. Hence we didn't get to Seminyak. After about 1.30pm the traffic is just bumper to bumper. We will definately go back to Bali and are hoping to go next year. After hearing our holiday story we have a couple of families who want to come with us so that should be great. That is it from me..thanks again to everyone here for your advice and information. and have a great time to all those who are going..you lucky things!!!!
