I always use basic long grain and it turns out just right. I have tried it with basmati a couple of times, and it turned out sticky and not as nice! The most important thing though is to cook your rice beforehand and let it go completely cold before frying. Good luck, I can almost taste it now (and remember to save some for breakfast the next day!).
