A cash Passport is a card that you put into a atm and you withdraw cash. You deposit your spending money on it, then when you are away you withdraw cash in the currency you are in. I suppose like a normal savings account card. It has replaced the travellers cheques. We used it when we went to Singapore and malaysia this year and it was great, we did not need to carry lots of cash, and being 2 different currencies, was very easy. check out the website at www.cashpassportcard.com or go to Thomas Cook they have the info, all travel agencies recommend it now. But we are heading off to Bali this week and most people say to just take cash, not sure whether we use the card there or not.
