When you say quite large, what size are you talking? 100cm?
I would also love to see them if you don't mind. I have often looked at paintings but have never bought one. As you said, some places want ridiculous prices and I'm no art expert so didn't know what was acceptable to offer. A friend bought one 1metre x 2metres for 600.000 with frangipanies. I thought that was a good price. It was really well done.
