I checked the Ramayana (about 5 minutes walking distance from the beach)for office outing proposes, it is quite nice as location is near shoping area and cafes. But the hotel area is small (and so the swimming pool). Ramayana is previously a 3 star hotel which then upgraded to 4 star hotel therefore does not have enough hotel facilities (compared to a hotel which is from beginning is a 4 star hotel).
Never stay at Alam Kul Kul, but I cannot believe if their price is the same to Ramayana as I think Alam Kul Kul is either 4 or 5 star hotel. It has a great location, in front of Kuta beach.
So if you prefer beach than shopping choose Alam Kul Kul otherwise choose Ramayana (have no information on Courtyard). But if it is me and the rates between Ramayana and Alam Kul Kul is the same, I will choose Alam Kul Kul because it has a higher star-rate.
