With the kingdom I refer to Arab Saudi, although the monarchies are less and less exist today in the Middle East. Yemen in now going to democracy. Iraq, Egypt are no-way a monarchy. Iran is governed by dictatoral mullah rezime which is indeed similar to Saudi Arabia that both are autocratic goverment.
You will realize how education in Arab Saudi has flawed. A non-government poll study carried out in Saudi has revealed that 50 to 60 % of its citizen agreed to what Mr.Osama bin Laden has been doing against the West.Who should be hold responsible for this horrifying trend ? The Arabian clerics, they are paid and sponsored by the monarchy.
Malaysian education system is more Islamic, maybe it's true, but who had the idea to build the Petronas -the second tallest Tower after Taiwanese skyscraper- ? Dr. Mahathir Mohammad, he is a moslem, right but he was not a moslem scholar,he graduated from National University of Singapore which is so British oriented. And its architect is ? Mr. Cesar Pelli, he is Argentinian, graduated from University of Illinois, USA.
Please don't misinterpret Islamic education. Islam didn't change physics law nor it altered math. but its scholars tend to insert more religious science than Natural and Exact Sciences in school. We have many instances for this, especially in moslem countries. As a result, there are less ingenious workers as its products, but more fundamentalists as by-products.
I think most top scientists in the world had been 'tainted' by some Western education and leading experts in moslem world are usually Western educated. You see that Iraqi nuclear woman scientist who are currently in US custody and a Pakistani leading scientist who were capture by Pakistani officials in relation with illegal uranium selling both were post graduated from Europe or US.
Education is not merely dealing with pure sciences but it comprises of many disciplines including culture, phylosophy, behaviour etc, A flaw in one aspect would certainly has a bad influence in other, as I mention above.
