I had never been to the elephant safari park, so we decided to go, thinking we booked to go to the 'Elephant safari park' , but when we got there we booked the wrong one, we were at the 'Bali bakas Elephant park', at first i was dissappointed,cause I have heard how the 'Elephant safari park' was excellent, but after our tour with the ' Bakas Elephant park' I was glad, this one doesnt have the nice restuarant overlooking the lake where the elephants bathe, and doesnt have the souvenir shop or the museum, but this was a traditional bali ride, which our trek was through the jungle for approx 1hour, (the other elephant park you apparrently just go around a big circle), then our elephants took us through some traditional villages, so you could see how the balinese live, I thought it was more traditional so i wasnt dissappointed at all, our free lunch was average, and wasnt sure what we were eating, but I enjoyed my day... we got some good photo's of the scenery while trekking with the elephants, and good posing shots with them, one elephant even lifted my mum up with her sitting on his tusks, which was a laugh....and a good pic... so if you have already gone to "elephant safar' try this bakas elephant park next time, cause i thought it was well worth it...
