you need $200.00 a day, I think anyway....thats if you want to lash out and have a good holiday, and if your kids love the surf shops, you might even think of more dollars...or thats where your credit card comes in handy,,,, but for me, i dont have a credit card, so my money was going quickly... the surf shops I thought were good, they are quite a bit cheaper to perth prices. I brought my son some billabong board shorts for $31.00 aus, which in perth would cost me around $70.00,so alot of the shorts were half the price. I also got my daughter some billabong jeans and paid $61.00 for them, which are still here in the perth "waves" shop for $120.00, so I did good and my kids were happy, the surf shoes and caps, accessories aren't as cheap, but still would save around $20.00 for shoes and $10.00 for caps....the quality is exactly the same...Theres a 'Surf factory outlet' on the Sanur bypass which are two big surf shops that are at discount prices and some clothes have small faults in them, which you cant even notice, so I paid $16.00 for a pair of billabong denim shorts for my daughter, which were a bargain.. and a quicksilver t-shirt for my son for around $14.00. When you go to the markets , ask them 'have you any 'real' billabong or quicksilver t-shirts, and they have them hidden in the back room, they are the real thing and you have to pay about 25 000 to 40 000 rupiah each, which is so cheap... they have normally just got XL sizes, in plastic bags...
