that to change your name on your passport, you will need a copy of the Civil Registry Australian Citizen Marriage Certificate (which is the full version and not just an exerpt)To get this you will have to apply to the Dept.of Births Deaths and Marriages, pay them money and wait the 6(?) or so weeks for it to come. I had the same problems when renewing my passport last year.(It was still in my maiden name as I didn't bother to change it when I got married,lol!)I had to renew it in a hurry, as I had decided on a spur of the moment trip to Bali to suprise my parents(I had three days to organise it!), and as I only had an exerpt marriage certificate, they would renew it, but not change my name. So to cut a long story short, my passport is STILL in my maiden name! Phew, lol, hope this helps!
