I know exactly where you mean & I we went there on the trip late last year! I wasn't into the collecting business cards thing as I am now <LOL> so didn't remember the name of the shop.I think it must be a case of being able to sniff out a bargain or a good shop & having found it without knowing it was the place you were talking about.
I do remember being given water at the shop we went into down that lane.I managed to get some really big size t-shirts for my other half that day at great prices & without any bargaining.
I can clearly remember joking around with 2 ladies & practising my Bahasa & my husband couldn't understand a word of it.They were being a little bit rude & cheeky ( only joking around)about the size of my husband until I started talking back to them in Bahasa.They were very embarrassed & apologised when they found out I understood what they said but when I started making the same comments back to them we were all killing ourselves with laughter & my poor darling was none the wiser <LOL> he just thought I was being my usual silly self.
Yes I know I was naughty & cheeky towards my husband but he's used to it after 20 years & probably says things 10x worse about me.It's just I really do love joking around & having fun with the Balinese,they have such a great sense of humour & love to laugh.BTW -I did tell him later in the day what it was all about so I wasn't too bad !
