Got up early and took kids surfing again at Padma st. Good fun!! Later went down to "Poppies Lane" looking for my nephew who was staying in that area. Very crazy place with the road dug up and all. Accidentally walked into Poppies restaurant and turned out to be one of my favorite dining experiences. (Went back many times). Excellant atmosphere with a pond and stream running thru the resaurant,beautiful garden setting! Food was best ever, and prices very reasonable too! Kids gorged themselves on sashimi (raw tuna) plates which was about 27,000 rp. At home it would be almost 5 times that much $$! Great juices, milkshakes,desserts, mine was Bintangs! Definitely a must eat!!!!
5 stars!!!! Oh yeah, Bathrooms were gorgeous too! My wife was laughing at me when I took the video camera to the restrooms ;-)
Later in PM just before sunset I went looking for Sammy and Suzy on the beach. Didn't take long, it was a stones throw from Padma st. Met some very nice people, Debbie from Alaska, Roo Ted,(Hope your eye is better? I'll let you tell the story on that one, ;-) and a couple of other forumites who have been coming to S and S for 15 Yrs! I wish I coulda met more of you there. Next time. Sammy was so laid back! He was very kind and said my first Bintang was on the house, and after that he was on it. Any time one of our beers was getting low he'd be popping another one. Pretty cool too, you just put your empty under your chair and then count them up when you leave. Beautiful Sunset that PM.........Gets you in a Bali state of mind..........
