I don't know if they ever had snakes in Hawaii in the old days, but a curious thing is: they brought over mongoose to Hawaii to get rid of the overpopulation of rats, but somebody didn't realize that rats are nocturnal and mongoose are awake in the daytime! Woops!!!!!!
