Grr what a welcoming committee you are. This person most likely needs a bit of reassurance and you flame them. Get a life baliku and stop being mean for no reason. To answer the original question I have always felt safe in bali and had short term and long term stays. I am always cautious with my belongings and have travel insurance. I have never felt intimidated there and cannot wait to be back there again over christmas.
