Not too busy. For any and all day trips, eg down to Uluwatu and up to Kintamani, its best to hire a driver. Lots have been recommended on the BTF. We often use Wayan Merta and I highly recommend him

You may find that you meet other travellers who want to share the cost. We usually pay around 300,000rp per day trip and about half for 3 or 4 hours.
Kintamani is north of Ubud, so I wonder if it would be better to visit from Ubud?
