if you are posting it to Legian or Kuta it most probably wont arrive as they tend to open parcels and keep for themselves, I only know this because I send stuff on a regular basis to a lady over there who has two young children, and she said not to send stuff to kuta, as it goes missing on a regular basis, she gave me the address for her village and i send everything there, and of course stuff goes over with friends.
But yes, why dont you try and organise with someone who is going over soon, or (in September like me) to organise the licence for this young guy, I will be quite happy to do it, if I am there, no probs. That would be your best bet and he will once again have work for a while, I have set up a bank account for my friend, here with the ANZ (this is the easiest way to do it) and I gave the pin no. and the card to another friend travelling over there last week, which she has now passed on to my friend, I know my friend over there will not abuse the money we give her, she needs it for her and her kids, she works but she needs the extra and I find this a great way of helping her, it was no use me giving her a sewing machine or anything like that, cause she works seven days a week!!! Anyway see what you come up with on the forum here but I reckon the licence is the best thing you could do. Keep in touch
