Between the forum and what my travel agent is telling me I'm a bit confused. The way I see it,
I should take my $25US for VOA with me, don't take any Rupia cos it's a better exchange rate over there (and I have transferrs included so don't even need money for a taxi). Ask for 50,000 and 100,000 notes as less likely to be ripped off. don't bother with travelrs cheques as crappy ex rate, or credit card cos of surcharges, and not everyone uses them. The ATM's over there only give out like $40 worth at a go. So can you please help with a few points
1. The ATM's dispense dollars, and then you have to have this changed to rp with a money changer?
2. Do the ATM's dispense Aus $ or US$
3. I know I can draw money at the hotel, would this mbr drawing dollars which I then have to change, or can I draw rp directly? and can I draw the money from a savings account, or do I have to use travellers cheques?
I appologise for ignorance, I'm a first time over seas traveller, leaving in September. Please don't STAG me I've tried to do my reasearch, I'm just confused!!!
