Hi all. For those of you who wanted to know, my goodies arrived in A1 condition. It took a while to rip out the old bedroom but finally done and couldnt wait to unwrap my bed (its been leaning up against the lounge room wall for 2 months!) I asked the maker to surprise me with carving and hand colouring and he did a fantastic job. It is absolutely gorgeous. I draped it with to 50 or so scarves I bought over there and put on my 'Bali Bedspread' and I now love going to bed!. He also made me 2 matching bedside chests - also lovely. The door I had made to size is also beautiful (he hand coloured this as well) but it's so heavy we need 6 people to carry it upstairs to its new home. No hurry - I just have to look at it to be back on Bali time!
I am really happy that everything went so smoothly, from the ordering, the shipping (including the constant follow up by the freight company in Bali with the maker)the documentation and the on time delivery. I am definately going to do it again. (Lounge room next?)
