stayed here in 2000 - basic upstairs room good value, although stairs up steep and narrow ( no good if you are elderly or unsteady).
Ananda Resturaunt was good value ( over the road from Indus as well, Indus great place to eat) Pool excellent and I found other guests that time friendly. Only drawback was it was a distance from Ubud proper, so if you didnt like walking you had to get transport ( NOT that there was any shortage of tranport! about 15,000R from memory) as a plus- because of the distance from Ubud it was also quieter at night .Clos to rice paddy fields and Naughty Nuris as well, and an art musuem is just up the road.
Id stay there again.
