We stayed at the Barong a couple of years ago after usually staying in cottage accommodation. We stayed in the area at the front of the hotel. I found the rooms to be very small and as we had a child in the room with us the 'roll out bed' was just a mattress placed on the floor! This bed made the room very squeezy. It was also very hard to find a powerpoint - which we eventually did, behind a cupboard that we had to pull away from the wall. I have heard that the rooms at the back of the hotel are much nicer and newer. The location is excellent as 10 mins to beach and 5 mins to Legian.
