Husband , as his Mother is a nurse in a private hospital & has delivered numerous babies in the hospital & also at home or in neigbours houses/villages etc...
Her said he had never heard of it & said if it did happen, maybe it was many, many years ago?
I am also not saying yourstory is untrue, just really not common practise!
I was living in Bali when I fell pregnant & did not know I was pregnant for a long time, I drank alot & was super paranoid when i found out I was pregnant. I was warned not to eat young pineapple, drink too much Sprite or eat too many Icypoles (as I became addicted to icy poles)...
Apparently the young Pineapple can cause miscarriage, the sprite gave the baby a headache & the icy poles made the baby cold inside!
I just went along with whatever the family told me & when I was about 6-7 months pregnant I came home to Melb to have the baby, also my first Dr's check up! I had my ultrasound a week later & the Dr assured me all was well & that many people are unaware of being pregnant & the alcohol I had consumed would not be too much of a concern. I had quit smoking as soon as i realised I was pregnant & have not had one since, but I still enjoy a drink!
We have a healthy daughter, but I was not advised to sniff anything!!!
