I wouldn't fly Garuda. My ex-partner (it was 10 yrs ago now, so things may have changed) worked as a ground engineer for them for 7 years and he was not alone in having grave concerns regarding safety. Unfortunately sometimes the desire to make departures on time can necessitate corner-cutting, and personally, as I said, I would not feel comfortable flying Garuda. There are many other airlines I would choose to fly before them. As I said, just my opinion but no more a generalisation than people saying that Garuda are great, I don't think.
