Need advice on digital cam

Hey everyone,

I am looking to buy a digital cam for my trip to Bali at the end of Sep. I've been thinking of getting Canon Rebel dig SLR, but it states that humidity level must be up to 85% to use it, so I am concerned about it not working in Bali.

I've researched archives, but no one mentioned that particular cam and their experiences. Does anyone have anything to say about that cam or perhaps suggest something equally good and successfully used in Bali? Thanks in advance. Irina.
