and this weekend was planned to be really good.
Jess of Oz and JulieK were coming down to my place and we were going out for lunch down the Mornington Peninsula somewhere (read winery).
I got my car out of the garage to drive it around in front of the home and didnt see my youngest Cavelier King Charles Spaniel, Jack. I ran over him. I loved his Gran, I love his Mum and we all especially love him. He was hurt! I quickly got him into the car and took him to the vet. He bit me big time when I lifted him into the car. Poor fellow, not in his nature to ever bite anyone.
He was quickly sedated and xrays were taken.
I rang the girls to forewarn them.
Jack has a broken pelvis, back leg and tail.
Poor Jack has been sedated to ensure that his vital organs are not damaged, he will be operated on tomorrow morning. What choices do you have? I should cancel the next couple of holidays to Bali, but he deserves to be repaired.
Once we knew what the prognosis was the girls and I continued on down the Peninsula and had a really good catch up and lunch. We bought our raspberry juice, some berries and jams.
Poor old Jackie boy will have some plates and screws in place and will need to be assisted for a few weeks but fortunately he will continued to be cared for when we go to Bali.
So thats my sad tail.......
