I am surprised and full of admiration for you. It takes a very brave person to face the situation you did. One thing though, my experience with jails in Indonesia is that the prisoners rarely can keep the gifts supplied to them by visitors. These are often "lost" to others in the jail...I do hope your friend is the exception to the "norm" and is able to protect was what given him...What a shame there is no-one to bring in regular supplies for him. I may be able to help with that as I know a social worker who visits Kerobokan Jail regularly. Maybe you could e-mail me....G...
