we're probably ony talking like $1.00 difference at the very most & lets not get too stingy. Keep in mind that it's not the poor taxi drivers fault if the meters dodgy & he's gotta put food on his families table too, we made a habit of tipping all our taxi drivers at least 5000 Rp. unless they were useless in their attitude. The white cabs are definitely older & in poorer condition but if your on a short trip you barely have time to notice.
