As you write, coming back to Bali means you have a certain amount of experience with hotels. Nothing wrong with hotels, but now that you are "used" to Bali, a private villa would likely give you far more of an intimate experience with Bali.
I'm not going to try to sell you a villa rental, nor will I tell you that this forum represents some of the finest properties on Bali...(which by the way, they do). But, I will tell you after many trips to Bali, also staying in hotels, I opted for a private villa, and the result was...well, I live here now.
If you are thinking about this establishment, you know, the one that pays for this forum, rest assured. They have a most excellent reputation, and as you can see for yourself, hardly ever promote themselves on this forum. Be warned however, the private villa experience can do strange things with your frontal cortex, you know, that part of the brain that is supposed to offer reason!
